The purpose of the Atlantis Music Conference, which began in 1998, is to present the greatest platform of discovery of new talent in America. A small group of individuals dedicated to seeing the event through, remain dedicated to that initial mission statement. After 7 years, Atlantis remains one of the greatest avenues of discovery for new talent in America.

With 95% of its performing artists unsigned and from all parts of the world, Atlantis is not just a southeastern conference; it is an International Conference, held in the southeastern United States. The 8th Annual Conference, August 10 - August 13, 2005, will take place in the Little Five Points/Virginia Highlands/Midtown/Downtown areas of Atlanta and will feature over 300 Showcasing Artists from around the country.

The selected artists are showcased in over eighteen venues. Each venue features a different musical genre such as heavy metal, hip-hop, rock, acoustic, soul, pop and R&B. Last year's Conference generated over 42,000 live exposures. Atlantis 2005 will easily surpass that number! 

Educational Panels, conducted during the day at the Sheraton Atlanta Hotel, are some of the many Atlantis events that attract the music industry to Atlantis. The panels are educational, entertaining, and are designed to shed light on the various aspects of the music industry, helping to instruct the novice and accelerate the seasoned professional.

Other integral parts of Atlantis include five official Atlantis Parties. Hosted at different Atlantis music venues, these two-hour parties allow musicians and music industry professionals to network in a social setting.

The Atlantis Job Fair consists of Human Resource representatives from successful music-based companies, such as William Morris and Clear Channel Entertainment. These companies, take applications and discuss job opportunities with Atlantis attendees.

The Exhibition Area features vendors promoting music-oriented products aimed at benefiting Atlantis attendees. Atlantis offers record labels, media outlets and independent companies an opportunity to expose new artists to an audience of music industry professionals and music fans seeking out up and coming talent.

Atlantis showcases are known throughout the industry as featuring the best new artists performing for music enthusiasts ready to claim "I saw them on their rise to the top".
